Example of a single-tank air cart controlled by the GreenStar™ Rate Controller Dry
The GreenStar Rate Controller Dry is compatible with competitive multi-tank air carts. The Rate Controller Dry can now be configured as an air cart implement type and eliminates the need for a third party controller. GreenStar Rate Controller Dry is capable of controlling up to four tanks and monitors up to two fans. The GS3 2630 Display then serves as the operator interface that controls the product application with the air cart.
John Deere Section Control and Prescription functionality
John Deere Section Control on the GS3 2630 DisplayThe GreenStar™ Rate Controller Dry is compatible with John Deere Section Control to minimize overlaps, reduce input costs, and decrease operator fatigue. With John Deere Section Control enabled, the GreenStar 3 (GS3) 2630 Display will automatically shut off the product metering systems when the machine travels into an area that has previously been applied or defined by interior/exterior boundaries.
The GreenStar Rate Controller Dry supports the documentation of up to four product applications on the GS3 2630 Display and can also be configured to run map-based prescriptions for variable rate applications. The GreenStar Rate Controller Dry is able to run a separate prescription for each of the product applications simultaneously.
Integrate with dry box spreaders
Pull-type dry box spreader with two product binsThe GreenStar™ Rate Controller Dry provides the ability for the GreenStar 3 (GS3) 2630 Display to integrate with self-propelled and pull-type dry box spinner spreaders. The GreenStar Rate Controller Dry eliminates the need of a separate third-party controller to operate the dry box equipment and reduces clutter in the cab.
The equipment configuration, product setup, calibrations, and operation are integrated by the controller onto the GS3 2630 Display. This integration provides customers and agricultural service providers the ability to use their Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products for guidance and control of dry product applications.
